How do I wash a goose down blanket?
Wash it in cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C). Avoid dry cleaning; instead, use water and a neutral detergent.
Place it in a laundry net and wash separately using the wool cycle. (Use a neutral detergent; avoid bleach and fabric softeners.) Do not use high-temperature dryers, and natural drying is recommended. Frequent washing and dry cleaning can damage the insulating properties and resilience of down. Instead, spot-clean stains with a damp towel.
Goose down bedding should be aired out in a well-ventilated area under sunlight for 1–2 hours once or twice a month, and lightly shaken to fluff the down and maintain its comfort.
